What rates are included in the rental price?
- Third party liability up to 1.220.000€ per accident.
- Bodily injuries to third party up to 1.220.000€ per victim.
- Fire or theft of the rented vehicle.
- Personal Accident Insurance Driver 12.000€.
- Collision Damage Waiver Insurance (CDW): The insurance covers damage to the rental vehicle. The client's responsibility is from 600 € to 1100 € depending on the vehicle category.
- 24% VAT and 0.5 % municipality tax is included in price.
- Breakdown assistance and 24h service.
- Unlimited kilometers on the island of Lefkada.
- Road Map and information about the island.
- Collection and delivery from and to the PVK Airport.
- A.S.C (Airport Service Charge).
- First additional driver free of charge.
- Baby seats and booster seats.
Which kind of insurance can I choose?
A) Cars:
- CDW (Collision Damage - and Theft - Waiver): With this insurance the customer is covered in the event of damage or theft of the rented vehicle. The customer is liable for the first 600 to 1100 € (depending on the vehicle category). This insurance is included in the rental price. The driver is always responsible for the loss or damage of the car key, the undercarriage, wheel-tires, glasses, mirrors.
- FDW (Full Damage-and Theft-Waiver): With this insurance the customer can reduce the amount of liability to 200 - 400€ depending on the vehicle category. The customer can choose this insurance when picking up the car. Even if the driver chooses the (FWD) as insurance cover is always responsible for the loss or damage of the car key, the undercarriage, wheel-tires, glasses, mirrors.
- SCDW (Super Collision Damage - and Theft-Waiver): Same as FDW but covers the WHOLE amount. The client is not responsible to pay anything for the accident. The customer can choose this insurance when picking up the car. Even if the driver chooses the (SCDW) as insurance cover is always responsible for the loss or damage of the car key, the undercarriage, wheel-tires, glasses, mirrors.
Damages at any part of the vehicle caused due to a violation of the European and Greek traffic law (e.g. driving while drunk or under the influence of drugs, using the vehicle for race competitions ect), are not covered by any insurance.
B) Motorcycles and scooters:
- CDW (Collision Damage Waiver and Theft Waiver): With this insurance the customer is covered in the event of damage or theft of the rented vehicle. The customer is liable for the first 150 to 300 € according to the vehicle category. This insurance is included in the rental price.
- SCDW (Super Collision Damage Waiver and Theft Waiver): Same as CDW but covers the WHOLE amount. The client is not responsible to pay anything for the accident. The customer can choose this insurance when picking up the vehicle.
What rates are excluded?
- P.A.I (Personal Accident Insurance).
- Traffic Fines/Parking Fees: The driver is the only responsible for all traffic and parking fines. You must inform Nidri Car Rentals immediately and we will consult you about where you can pay the penalty. Unpaid fines will be charged to the customer’s credit card.
- Fuel: The vehicle has to be returned with the same fuel level as it was taken. No money is refunded for excess fuel in the vehicle. If the vehicle is returned with less fuel or diesel, the customer will be charged with the cost of the rest amount of fuel/diesel.
- Keys: The costumer is responsible to cover the cost for lost, damaged or wet keys. Lost or damaged keys are not cover by all insurances.
- Others: The driver is always responsible for the loss or damage of the car key, the undercarriage, wheel-tires, glasses, mirrors. Damages at any part of the vehicle caused due to a violation of the European and Greek traffic law (e.g. driving while drunk or under the influence of drugs, using the vehicle for race competitions ect), are not covered by any insurance.
What is the minimum and maximum demanded driver’s age?
- Cars: The minimum age for small cars is 23 years and 25 years for large cars. Maximum age is 75 years. The driver must have a driving licence for at least 4 years for small cars and 5 years for big cars.
- Motorbikes/Scooters: Minimum age is 18 years for small scooters 23 years for big motorcycles. Μaximum age is 75 years. The driver should have a driving licence for at least one year for scooters and 3 years for motorcycles.
What driving license should I have?
Driving licenses should be European or International.
All driving licenses which have been issued within the European Community, United Kingdom of Great Britain and N. Ireland, Norway, Iceland, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, USA, Canada, Australia will be accepted.

Which are the available payment methods?

Do I need credit card even if I pay cash?
Credit Card is demanded at the time of rental as a guarantee, even if you decide to pay in cash, to cover all insurances and the excluded rates of the price.
Should I request Nidri Car Rentals’ written permission for extra travel?
- Ferry: vehicles are permitted on ferries only upon request.
- Cross-border travel: is not allowed.
- Driving out of Lefkada island: for driving out of Lefkada island and out of PVK area, driver must get a permission from Nidri Car Rentals.
- Pets: must be carried on a special for pets container into the vehicle.
Which is the price list?
- Price: Prices are based on the availability and the season(high/low), so prices are formed “day by day”.
- Low season rates: Special Offers on low season (April, May, September, October, and also during winter). About 45% discount for car rental at Lefkada island.
- High season rates: Early booking 25% discount.
Can I reserve a specific car model?
Reservations are always confirmed for a given Car Category -not for a specific car model-. Reservations must be made by category and not by car model. The costumer may get a similar or upgraded car at our discretion.
